New Double DIN CD Receivers DPX500BT And DPX300U from Kenwood
Kenwood USA announced the introduction of two new, high-performance double-DIN CD receivers that have audio connectivity and control capabilities for music files stored on or accessed by iPhone, iPod and Android smartphones.
The popular iHeart-Radio, Clear Channel’s all-in-one digital radio service featuring live and custom stations, and Pandora Internet Radio are fully supported for iPhone, and both models offer access to satellite radio from SiriusXM with the SXV200 SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner (sold separately, SiriusXM subscription required) which deliver advanced features such as SiriusXM Replay™ and iTunes Tagging while offering expanded channel content including Spanish-language programming.

Kenwood DPX500BT
The large front panel allows for an expanded 14-segment display with more information available at a glance. Variable illumination gives the user the ability to precisely match the color of the Kenwood receiver to that of the dashboard and interior lighting. For a “perfect fit” into standard Toyota 200mm dashboard applications, dress plate adapters are included that provide a seamless cosmetic integration.
The DPX500BT is a fully-loaded model that includes Pandora Internet Radio, iHeart Radio and Aha™ when tethered to an enabled iPhone or Android smartphone. New for 2013 is iPhone Siri control as well as automatic iPhone Bluetooth pairing. The external Bluetooth microphone can be installed in an optimal position for better voice intelligibility, perfect for use with the iPhone Siri cloud-based digital assistant. A direct phonebook access key on the front panel puts the user’s phone directory within easy and safe reach with a push of the single button. Three preamp outputs allow for expanded system building options, and a front panel USB port and 3.5mm auxiliary jack provide quick connection of external media devices.
