Sirius XM Radio Connectivity
Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. offers drivers a robust line up of twelve SIRIUS and XM Radio ready source units for 2009. Consumers can choose the Alpine source unit that best fits their needs: 1-DIN Digital Media Receivers (iDA-X305, iDA-X303, iDA-X200), 2-DIN Digital Media Station (iXA-W404), CD Receivers (CDA-105, CDA-9887, CDA-9886), Mobile Media Station (IVA-D106), Audio/Video/Navigation Systems (IVA-W505/P1, IVA-W203/P1), or Marine Receivers (iDA-X100M, CDA-9886M). With satellite radio in the car or boat, consumers can access more than 130 digital channels of choice including commercial-free music, premier sports, news, talk radio, comedy, children's entertainment programming, traffic and weather information. Consumers can connect any of Alpine’s compatible units with the SIRIUS or XM Satellite Radio service through their choice of SIRIUS or XM hardware.

Alpine KCA-SC100
Using the Alpine KCA-SC100 SIRIUS Satellite Radio interface, consumers can choose one of twelve SIRIUS Portable and Dock & Play receivers along with a SIRIUS Dock and Play vehicle kit, or use the SCC1 SiriusConnect™ hide-away tuner to enjoy SIRIUS service (separate subscription required).
For those who select XM Satellite Radio hardware, the integrated in-vehicle solution is the XM Mini-Tuner. The XM Mini-Tuner is a portable subscription that can be used in the car. When connected to any 2009 Ai-NET Alpine head unit, XM Satellite Radio can be accessed with on-screen channel and song information (separate subscription required).
Whether choosing SIRIUS hardware or XM hardware, consumers can choose to optionally subscribe to “Best of” packages featuring unique and premium content offered on the other network. These packages are all accessible and controllable by the twelve Alpine SIRIUS XM Satellite Radio ready source units for 2009.
KCA-SC100 SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO INTERFACE
- Listen to SIRIUS Satellite Radio content through a vehicle’s sound system with a SiriusConnect tuner or Dock & Play vehicle kit
- SIRIUS Dock & Play receiver docks into the SCVDOC1 SiriusConnect Universal Vehicle Dock (required, and available from SIRIUS XM Radio), then can be stowed safely away from view, leaving the car interior and dash clutter-free
- Fully control the listening experience from the Alpine head unit or remote control
- Control many of the convenient features found on select SIRIUS Dock & Play devices from the head unit or remote. Supported features include:
- Advanced search functions of category, channel, artist and song
- Song and artist alerts for notification if a favorite song or artist is being broadcast on any SIRIUS channel
- Game alerts for notification if a pre-programmed team from the NFL, NBA, NHL or a college league is playing
- Replay or pause any part of a broadcast (when connected to a SIRIUS device with SIRIUS Replay capabilities)

- A fixed, in-vehicle solution, the SIRIUS-made hide-away SCC1 SiriusConnect Vehicle Tuner connects to the KCA-SC100 interface to broadcast SIRIUS programming to the Alpine head unit
SCVDOC1 SIRIUSCONNECT VEHICLE KIT
- Connect and control compatible SIRIUS Dock & Play or Portable receivers directly from the Alpine head unit. Compatible with twelve different SIRIUS Dock & Play or portable receivers.
XM MINI-TUNER
- The XM Mini-Tuner is a tiny cartridge that contains the XM chipset, making it possible for subscribers to take their XM subscription from one XM-compatible device to another
- The XM Mini-Tuner retains the same functionality from home to car as provided by a fixed, installed XM tuner
- The Mini-Tuner’s small and lightweight design makes it convenient to carry and transfer from one car to another

The KCA-SC100 SIRIUS Satellite Radio Interface is available through authorized Alpine dealers now for $80 SRI. It is compatible with the following current SIRIUS devices:

COMPATIBILITY AND AVAILABILITY: XM HARDWARE
The XM Mini-Tuner is available at consumer electronics retailers nationwide.
- Consumers need to purchase the XM Direct 2 Main Kit (model # CNP2000UC, available through Audiovox), which consists of an XM Mini-Tuner, car dock, USB programmable adapter, USB cable and antenna
- The Mini-Tuner is placed in the car dock, and then the car dock is connected to the Main unit. At that point, an XM Direct 2 Alpine Connection cable (model #CNPALP1, available through Audiovox) is needed to connect the Direct 2 Main Kit to the compatible Alpine Ai-NET head unit
- The XM Direct 2 Main Kit is USB adaptable for future compatibility
- The XM Direct 2 Main Kit and Direct to Alpine Connection cable are sold separately and are available at consumer electronics retailers nationwide
