Kenwood Announces New "Performance Series" Subwoofer Models For 2011
Kenwood USA Corporation is introducing new subwoofer models in its successful “Performance Series” that strike a perfect balance between value and performance. All models are upgraded versions of industry-leading Kenwood subwoofers, the sales of which gave Kenwood the top-ranking subwoofer model from January through October 2010, based on unit sales volume according to the NPD Group’s Retail Tracking Service.
The 12” KFC-W3013PS ($140.00 suggested retail price) retains the best attributes of 2010’s best-selling KFC-W3012 while delivering improved heat ventilation, shallower mounting depth and longer cone excursion. RMS power is rated at 400 watts (RMS), with a maximum peak power of 1,200 watts. The KFC-W3013PS offers a dual ventilation system that allows heat to escape the voice coil even in extremely shallow-mount applications where the pole piece air vent is obstructed by the enclosure. A heavy-duty rubber surround extends the life of the woofer even under continuous high-power operation, while a new diamond-array cone design resists cone flex and provides better bass performance. The KFC-W2513PS ($120.00 suggested retail price) is a 10” version of the KFC-W3013PS that is rated at 300 watts (RMS) with a maximum peak power of 1,000 watts.
