JVC Mobile Expands Its HD Radio™ Line With 3 New Models

JVC Mobile Entertainment continues to respond to increasing demand for digital radio with three new in-dash CD receiver models: KD-HDR20, KD-HDR50, and the Arsenal KD-AHD59.

The KD-HDR50 CD Receiver features a built-in HD Radio™ tuner with multicast capability, front auxiliary input, full-speed USB 2.0 connection for iPod®/iPhone™ with 2-way control and iTunes® Tagging capability.

iTunes® Tagging allows users to store or “tag” information about that song they are hearing on HD Radio™ and store it in their receiver. The tagged song information will transfer to their iPod®/iPhone™ and be recalled in iTunes® allowing them the option to purchase that song from the iTunes® store.

The KD-HDR50 is also ready for Bluetooth® adapter and has MP3/WMA playback capability. Also featured: MOS-FET 50 watts x 4, 7-band iEQ, and a variable-color illumination display. The receiver is available for shipping in January and has a MSRP of $179.95.

JVC’s Arsenal KD-AHD59 CD Receiver, features a built-in HD Radio™ tuner with Multicasting and iTunes® Tagging capability, front auxiliary input, and Full-Speed USB 2.0 connection with 2-way control for iPod®/iPhone™. The unit is ready for Bluetooth® adapter, Satellite Radio Ready, and has MP3/WMA playback capability. The KD-AHD59 also features 7-band iEQ, wireless remote, MOS-FET 50 watts x 4, 5V pre-output terminals, variable-color illumination display, and is steering wheel remote control ready. The KD-AHD59 also includes a 2-year warranty. The receiver is available for shipping in January and has a MSRP of $159.95.

Also new for 2009 is the KD-HDR20, featuring a built-in HD Radio™ tuner with Multi-cast capability, front auxiliary input, and MP3/WMA playback. This receiver is Ready for Bluetooth® adapter, Satellite Radio Ready, and is Ready for iPod®. The KD-HDR20 also features a 7-band iEQ, wireless remote, and MOS-FET 50 watts x 4. The receiver has an MSRP of $139.95 and ships in January.

Returning in 2009 is the KT-HD300 add-on adapter for HD Radio™, which connects through JVC’s own J-BUS expansion port. The KT-HD300 is be compatible within the new lineup of in-dash units and adds HD Radio™ tuning to all JVC HD Radio™ ready receivers. MSRP for the KT-HD300 is $119.95 and is now currently shipping.
