JVC Mobile Enhances Ipod® And Iphone™ Connectivity To Meet Consumer Demand For In-vehicle Digital Music Playback

JVC Mobile Entertainment enhances all previous iPod® integration and will also include iPhone® connectivity into many of its 2009 CD and AV Multimedia receivers. JVC’s new lineup allows utilization of key features for both the iPod® and iPhone™ including: Bluetooth® wireless technology for hands-free calling, full-speed USB connection, 2-way control, and iTunes® Tagging technology.

Many of JVC Mobile’s receivers include direct USB 2.0 connection for iPod®/iPhone™, allowing users to benefit from full-speed operation, high sound quality digital audio transfer, simultaneous charging, and convenient operation with 2-way control. Enhanced for 2009, JVC’s 2-way control for iPod®/iPhone™ allows users to easily access all of their video and audio files from either the receiver or directly from their iPod®/iPhone™. This feature also allows users the option to play, pause, skip or go back from either their iPhone®/iPod™, or the receiver’s controls. Song and artist information is also displayed on both the iPod®/iPhone™ and receiver screens.

Three new in-dash receivers now come equipped with two full-speed USB 2.0 ports, allowing iPod®/iPhone™ connection for audio playback, and hands-free calling with included USB Bluetooth® adapter.

The 2009 product line also features other new controls for iPod®/iPhone™ and USB devices. Three new in-dash receivers now come equipped with two full-speed USB 2.0 ports, allowing iPod®/iPhone™ connection for audio playback, and hands-free calling with included USB Bluetooth® adapter. This adapter lets the user complete hands-free calling and will pause music automatically during playback to receive phone calls.

Also new for 2009 is the iTunes® tagging feature, which is available on two in-dash CD models. While a song is playing on HD Radio®, users can store or “tag” information about that song and store it in their receiver. The tagged song information will then transfer to their iPod®/iPhone™ and be recalled in iTunes® allowing them the option to purchase that song from the iTunes® store.
