Alpine Starts PDR Amplifier Line With PDR-M65, PDR-F50 And PDR-V75
Alpine will debut its new PDR vehicle amplifiers at the 2014 International CES taking place Jan. 7-10 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The PDR amplifiers are an entirely new line from Alpine.
“Alpine invented the compact amplifier category back in 2006,” said Steve Crawford, vice president and general manager, aftermarket business unit, Alpine “Every year since, we have improved upon the format by introducing amplifiers that are smaller yet more powerful than their predecessors. Our new PDR amplifiers exemplify our continuing commitment to this category, as they are highly efficient and produce a great amount of power for their small size.”

Alpine PDR-M65
Key features of the new PDR amplifiers include:
- Quiet Performance: The ultra-low signal to noise ratio provides clearer music without background hiss.
- Power Density: The PDR amplifiers are small and easy-to-install, with big power output.
- Quality Bass Performance: Ultra-high damping factor keeps bass clean and tight.
- Power Verification Certificate: Every PDR amplifier comes with a “Birth Sheet” indicating the actual measured power of the amplifier.
- Easy-to-Adjust Bass: The mono PDR-M65 and 5-channel PDR-V75 are compatible with the optional RUX-KNOB remote bass knob for easy bass adjustment from the dash.
- Rotatable Alpine Badge: The Alpine badge can be installed in four different orientations so it is straight no matter what position the amplifier is installed.
- Thermal Performance Stability: The higher efficiency design allows for improved thermal management, to help sustain output power and prevent shutdown of the amplifier.
- Dual Feedback Modulation: Dual internal error correction technology, which is incorporated in other Alpine amplifiers, is adopted in the PDR-M65 mono amplifier.
- 2- or 4-channel Speaker Input and Pre-Outs: The PDR-M65 mono amplifier can connect to a factory head unit via speaker-level inputs (up to 10V), making it ideal for an easy factory system upgrade.
- Remote Sensing: The amplifiers automatically turn on when voltage is detected on speaker-level inputs, eliminating the need to run a separate amplifier turn-on wire when upgrading factory systems.
Additional Alpine amplifiers will still be available for 2014. The premium PDX amplifiers incorporate Global Modulation architecture for the ultimate sound quality that is the hallmark of PDX amplifiers. These efficient and reliable amplifiers set the bar as the first all-digital amplifiers to be housed in a small, uniform footprint, using a stackable chassis design for compact installations. The MRX-M110 from the X-Power series will stay on as a powerful option for users who want a mono amplifier that can drive multiple subwoofers. The entry level V-Power amplifiers offer style and performance at attractive price points.
Also available are the Head Unit Power Packs, which are small amplifiers that increase the power of head units to 45W RMS x 4. The KTP-445A is designed for select 2005 and newer Alpine head units, while the KTP-445U version offers the same power boost for virtually any source unit.
