New Alpine V-Power Amplifiers Deliver Big Power In A Compact Size

Alpine will debut its redesigned V-Power vehicle amplifiers at the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), taking place Jan. 8-11 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The new and improved V-Power amplifiers are powerful and stylish at attractive price points.

“Our V-Power amplifiers are the most successful amplifiers in the industry,” said Steve Crawford, vice president and general manager, aftermarket business unit, Alpine “The fourth generation of these amplifiers incorporate advanced shutdown prevention technology and a smaller footprint, both taken from our PDX and X-Power lines, then are wrapped up at attractive price points.”

Key features of the V-Power amplifiers include:

Smaller, Compact Size: The V-Power amplifiers have a 40 percent smaller footprint than their predecessors, for installation in even tighter spaces.
Thermal Performance Stability: New higher efficiency design allows for better thermal management, to help sustain output power and prevent shutdown of the amplifier.
Dual Feedback Modulation: This dual internal error correction technology, which is incorporated in the PDX and X-Power Series, is now adopted in the V-Power Mono amplifiers for the widest frequency response, highest damping factor, and lowest noise in its class.
4-channel Speaker Input and Pre-Outs: The new V-Power amplifiers can connect to an OEM head unit via speaker-level inputs (up to 10V), making them ideal for an easy factory system upgrade.
Remote Sensing: The amplifiers automatically turn on when voltage is detected on speaker-level inputs, eliminating the need to run a separate amplifier turn-on wire when upgrading OEM systems.
Power Verification Certificate: Every V-Power amplifier comes with its own “Birth Sheet” indicating the actual measured power of the amp.
Snap on/off Terminal Covers: The V-Power amplifiers come with terminal covers that do not need additional tools for installation. The covers easily snap on/off to create a clean, finished look.
Remote Bass Level Adjustment: RUX-KNOB compatibility for easy subwoofer level adjustment is available on the MRV-M500 and MRV-M250 Mono models.

Alpine’s two other amplifier series continue for 2013. The top-of-the-line PDX amplifiers incorporate Global Modulation architecture, for the ultimate sound quality that is the hallmark of PDX amplifiers. These efficient and reliable amplifiers set the bar as the first all-digital amplifiers to be housed in a small, uniform footprint, using a stackable chassis design for compact installations. The mid-line X-Power amplifiers have ultra-clean sound output with the highest damping factor, lowest distortion, highest bandwidth and best signal-to-noise ratio in their class.

Also available is the KTP-445U Universal Power Pack, a small amplifier that doubles the power of an aftermarket head unit and increases the power of a standard factory head unit to 45W RMS x 4. Additionally, a new Power Pack model (KTP-445A) will be introduced this year, to allow easy plug-and-play installation specifically with select 2005 and newer Alpine head units.
