Clarion Announces NX702, NX602 And NZ502 Multimedia Stations With Built-in Navigation

Clarion announces the introduction of three all-new built-in navigation in-dash source units that boast full-featured capabilities such as SiriusXM satellite radio compatibility, built-in Parrot Bluetooth®, Pandora internet radio compatibility, iPod® and iPhone® integration and HD Radio compatibility.

Clarion’s flagship model, the NX702 all-in-one 2DIN audio video navigation unit offers an expansive high resolution WVGA seven inch sloping touch-screen with an innovative, animated GUI and voice control of the features you use most. The built-in navigation unit offers several innovative features to make your commute more efficient and enjoyable, from real-time traffic, digital media connectivity and built-in Parrot Bluetooth to voice control of navigation and phone features, all to keep consumers in tune with their drive.

All three models with built-in navigation are SiriusXM-Ready and compatible with the new SXV200 SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner (sold separately, SiriusXM subscription required) as well as the SXV100 model which launched in 2011. The compact SiriusXM vehicle tuners have one simple connection, providing integration of SiriusXM satellite radio in an inexpensive and easy to install package.

The NX702, offers Clarion’s most advanced navigation engine with 3D building and landmarks and now even further enhanced by Clear Channel Radio’s Total Traffic Network real-time traffic data service. The 8GB microSD card for map storage offers easy map updates using Clarion’s latest map guarantee, which allows a free map update within 30 days of purchase.

The NX702 boasts a built-in HD Radio receiver with the iTunes Tagging feature, Parrot Bluetooth for hands-free calling and stereo audio streaming and Pandora internet radio compatibility via an iPhone USB connection. TheNX702 also packs several high-end audio features such as digital time alignment and crossover, 5-band parametric equalizer, and is 2-zone capable.

The NX602 2DIN built-in navigation source unit touts a 6.2-inch vibrant WVGA touch panel display with new highly animated GUI. Like its single DIN sibling, the NZ502, both offer built-in Parrot Bluetooth and are Pandora internet radio capable via an iPhone USB connection and are HD Radio Ready with iTunes tagging.

The built-in navigation unit offers several innovative features to make your commute more efficient and enjoyable, from real-time traffic, digital media connectivity and built-in Parrot Bluetooth to voice control of navigation and phone features, all to keep consumers in tune with their drive.

The NX602 and NX702 offer a user customizable interface with variable color key illumination form any one of a full spectrum of colors easily selectable from the units on-screen settings. The customization continues with selectable color schemes for the wall paper and user uploaded images or photos.

Clarion’s NZ502 single DIN high resolution 7-inch motorized flip-out touch panel offers an attractive HMI with a sub display viewable when the LCD display is retracted. All Clarion’s 2012 AVN units offer connectivity to a rear vision camera via an RCA input and are OEM steering wheel control ready.

Clarion’s NX602 will ship within the first quarter of 2012 with the NX702 soon to follow.
