Clarion’s Amplifiers And Speakers For 2012
Clarion introduces their all-new product line-up of amplifiers and speakers in 2012. Clarion’s new line offers sophisticated raw power, cutting edge styling and technologically advanced features from entry level to high end.
Clarion’s new amplifiers offer two product series, the XC high performance full range Class D digital amplifiers with compact size for automotive or marine use, and their XR series Class AB entry level amplifiers feature black piano lacquer finish aluminum heat sinks. Don’t let their lavish cosmetics fool you they have the technology and power to back up those good looks.

Clarion XC6410
Clarion’s amplifier line includes Class D, AB and G/H including their XH series introduced in 2011. Clarion offers two mono amplifiers, three 2-channel and three 4-channel amplifiers. Clarion’s broad selection of amplifiers makes it easy to design a system at any price point.
"All Clarion amplifiers offer overwhelming power and are packaged into a streamlined design for easier installation.” States Jason Lee, Clarion’s Senior Product Planning Manager. “Our cutting edge designs have great styling and are feature-rich designed especially to produce tons of power reliably under adverse conditions.”
Clarion’s all-new XC series amplifiers feature electronic high and low-pass crossovers, PWM regulated MOS-FET power supply, variable bass boost control and auto sense remote turn-on via RCA input. The XC6410 4-channel amplifier offers 600 watts of maximum power output and the XC6210, 2-channel amplifier boasts 350 watts of maximum power output. Both XC amplifiers offer 125 watts per channel at 4 ohms or 250 watts at 2 ohms when bridged. Their sleek new cosmetics and small package offer ultimate flexibility and are also rated and durable enough for marine use.
Clarion’s XR amplifier line offers powerful balanced sound with high mass, heat sink for longer playing time, high current, fast switching power and audio transistors for dynamic transient peaks. Multi-stranded windings on its power toroidal transformer contribute to its high efficiency power supply and oversized power capacitors give extra dynamic headroom.
The XR series amplifiers all include gold plated RCA power and speaker connections, unregulated MOS-FET power supply, ground loop isolation and soft turn-on/off circuitry. The XR2120 mono amplifier offers 570 watts of maximum power output, the XR2420 4-channel amplifier offers 480 watts of maximum power output and the 2-channel XR2220 packs 280 watts of maximum power.
Clarion 2012 speaker line-up offers two series, the SRQ multi-axial and component speakers and the SRG multi-axial and coaxial speakers. All offer powerful strontium magnets for dynamic bass response.
The SRQ series includes seven speakers and one pure soft dome tweeter. The top-of-the line SRQ1722S 6 ¾” 2-way components offer 400 watts of maximum power handling. The SRQ1622S handles 350 watts of max music power in a 6½” 2-way component package with two-way mounting tweeter (variable angle/surface mounting) and both include a new bullet style phase plug. The SRQ6933R is a 6” x 9” multi-axial 3-way with 500 watts of max power handling with a pure soft dome mid-range and dome tweeter. The pure soft dome tweeters offer silky smooth high frequency response. All SRQ speakers use AMI polypropylene cone woofers with rubber surround for natural, deep low frequency response for unsurpassed sound and value.
Three custom fit models include the SRG5732C 5” x 7” multi-axial 3-way with 250 watts of max power, the SRG4622C 4” x 6” coaxial 2-way with 200 watts max power and the SRG922C 3 ½” coaxial 2-way with 80 watts of max music power.
Clarion SRG speaker series offers eight models for exceptional value with the same great sound all with powerful strontium magnet and metallized PEI cone mid-range or metallized PEI balanced-drive mid-range and metallized PEI baranced-drive tweeter or dome tweeter. Three are 3-way multi-axial speakers. One all-new 6” x 8” multi-axial 3-way model, the SRG6832C with 300 watts of max power handling, along with five 2-way models. They all allow for easy upgrade from your car’s factory system.
The SRG6932R 6” x 9” is a multi-axial 3-way withstands 400 watts of max power and like others in the line offer water resistant cones. The SRG1622R is a 6 ½” coaxial 2-way speaker, handling 250 watts of max power, while the SRG1322R is a 5 ¼” coaxial 2-way with 230 watts of max power. Lastly, the SRG1022R is a 4” coaxial 2-way with 180 watts of max music power handling.
MIPP cone woofers provide tight clean low frequency response.
Clarion’s full-line of speakers is ready to ship at the top of the new year and their full line of amplifiers will be shipping within the first quarter of 2012.
