Kenwood Releases 3 Advanced CD Receivers Equipped With High-Speed USB Technology
Kenwood USA announced the introduction of three high-value CD receivers with enhanced connectivity to external media devices, made possible by Kenwood’s advanced USB technology platform.

Kenwood KDC-448U
The KDC-448U ($200.00 suggested retail price) is An iPod solution designed with the iPod enthusiast in mind. The LCD display can show three lines of text that shows song, album title and artist simultaneously. Or, if larger text is desired, the display can be switched from three lines to two large-text lines for easier reading of information. Variable color illumination of the display and backlit keys allows the user to match the color of the KDC-448U to the dashboard lighting of almost any vehicle.
As with the KDC-448U, front-panel USB and 3.5mm auxiliary inputs on the KDC-348U provide the user with many connectivity options, and adding satellite radio or HD Radio is possible (optional satellite radio or HD Radio accessories are required).
A front-panel USB input is ideal for plugging in an iPod and directly controlling it while charging its internal battery. The satellite radio-ready KDC-448U also has a unique iPod “direct access” button for quick source selection to iPod, making it a strong choice for tech-savvy customers.
Three preamp outputs with high-pass and low-pass filtering allows for the addition of multiple amplifiers and more control over high and low frequencies. Finally, steering wheel interface capability allows the user to retain many steering wheel controls, improving safety and convenience (extra interface adapter may be required).
The KDC-348U ($170.00 suggested retail price) is a feature-packed CD receiver at a very attractive price. As with the KDC-448U, front-panel USB and 3.5mm auxiliary inputs on the KDC-348U provide the user with many connectivity options, and adding satellite radio or HD Radio is possible (optional satellite radio or HD Radio accessories are required).
Front-panel mounted preset buttons make direct selection of preset stations and other functions very easy. A 13-segment, single-line display will show full telephone numbers when equipped with a Bluetooth adapter and enabled cellular phone (optional Bluetooth accessory is required).
Kenwood’s base model with the USB technology platform is the KDC-248U ($150.00 suggested retail price).
