JVC Offers High-End Arsenal Series Digital Amplifiers, Speakers & Subwoofers

The KS-AR9501D Arsenal Amplifier offers a slightly curved main unit for smooth design with multiple installation options. The illuminating panel and smoked controlled cover assist in easy under seat installation and other hard-to-see installing areas of your car. Encased in the KS-AR9501D are the large control keys, which need no tools for adjustment and are 2cm in diameter.

JVC KS-AR9501D

Compact and versatile, the JVC logo plate can be attached in four different ways for flexible settings. Cascade stacking allows for pairing of multiple amps and is useful with the external bridging function. The KS-AR9501D’s external bridging can be used through the optional pin connector, allowing the use of multiple amplifiers at once. Using one unit as your master, and the other as the slave, you can take two 1500W amps and produce a total of 3000W at 2Ω. All adjustments and control amplifiers in this configuration are done through the master unit, leaving the slave unit locked. Additionally, the RM-RK130, a wired bass boost remote control, can be added to the master unit. The KS-AR9501D digital amp is now available with an MSRP of $649.95.

Continuing in 2012, the AR8000 Digital series amplifiers contain continuous power output with a maximum of up to 700W RMS and are available in a lineup of 2 Channel, 4 Channel, and Mono configurations. The sleek and small amplifiers continue to allow maximum design and installation options.

JVC Mobile’s KS-AR8001D is a Digital Mono Power Amplifier, featuring continuous power output of 700W RMS x 1 at 4 ohms, or 700W RMS x 1 at 2 ohms. The amp offers a frequency response of 20-300Hz with an MSRP of $549.95.

The KS-AR8002D, a Bridgeable Digital 2 Channel Power Amplifier, features continuous power output of 150W RMS x 2 at 4 ohms, or 170W RMS x 2 at 2 ohms bridged. The amp offers a frequency response of 5-40kHz. MSRP for the KS-AR8002D is $449.95.

The KS-AR8004D, a Bridgeable Digital 4 Channel Power Amplifier, features continuous power output of 120W RMS x 4 at 4 ohms, or 130W RMS x 4 at 2 ohms bridged. The amp offers a frequency response of 5-40kHz, and has 4-, 3- or 2-channel operation. MSRP is $549.95.

Arsenal Series Speakers

The Arsenal Series component speakers CS-ARS500, CS-ARS650 and CS-ARS680 feature an illuminated crossover network and a glass fiber laminated hemp cone.

The advanced Arsenal Series coaxial speakers CS-AR500, CS-AR650, CS-AR680 and CS-AR690 feature a tweeter voice coil that delivers point source radiation and box-in-line design for crossover networks.

All Arsenal speakers have a sensitivity of 92dB/Wm.The two-year standard warranty applies to all Arsenal products.

A slim design on Arsenal component and coaxial speakers allows for installation in a wide range of cars. This is enabled by application of neodymium magnets and aluminum frames. Tweeter voice coil within the woofer also delivers point source radiation on component models.

Hemp fiber construction provides natural mid and high frequency sound and creates a smooth transition between woofer and tweeter crossover frequencies.

Included T3 Chassis (Thermal Transfer Technology) transfers heat away from the voice coil to the speaker’s aluminum basket. The aluminum basket acts like a radiator for the T3 process providing protection against overheated voice coils. The center piece on an Arsenal component driver is connected to the speaker’s T3 structure, and efficiently dissipates heat from inside of the motor structure while its unique shape design also blends and focuses high-frequency sound waves toward the listener’s ears.

The Solid Disc Magnet focuses more magnetic power upward toward the speaker’s voice coil—creating more power handling and SPL.

The Arsenal lineup of Subwoofers features 10 models, including the CS-AW6040, CS-AW6240, CS-AW7020, CS-AW7040, CS-AW7220, CS-AW7240, CS-AW8040, CS-AW8240, CS-AW8540, and CS-AW8520. These subwoofers range in class and size, from 10-15 inches, and feature two patent-pending technologies: the Multi-Mount Smart Trim Ring and the Dual Diametric Progressive Spider Woven Tinsel Lead as well as the patented Rapid-Fire Impedance selector terminal.

The Arsenal line of subwoofers feature patent-pending Dual Diametric Progressive Spiders with Woven Tinsel Leads. Included Thermal Transfer Technology transfers heat away from the voice coil to the woofer’s aluminum basket by connecting the motor structure to the basket, using a layer of heat transfer silicon. Patent-pending Multi-Mount Smart Trim Ring creates a clean installation appearance by concealing the mounting screws. Patent-pending Rapid-Fire Impedance Selector Speaker Terminal changes the voice coil impedance with one easy motion. Switch between Parallel, Series or Bi-Amp configurations without any additional wiring. Aluminum material reduces resonation within the subwoofer structure, which creates strong and clear basic output with Die-Cast Vented Aluminum Basket.

Each subwoofer in the Arsenal lineup also features a switch which toggles between parallel/series/independent wiring, and protection circuit with fuse for extra protection against current overages that cause blown voice coils.

Advanced technologies are incorporated into this lineup to produce better sound, along with high performance and usability. Multi-directionally woven dampers correct balance of speaker, even with terminals concentrated on one side. Eco-friendly Hemp Fiber reduces unwanted mid- and high-frequencies in subwoofers—like a natural low pass filter. Internal loss is reduced within the speaker diaphragm for pure fidelity sound. Models CS-AW8240 and CS-AW8040 have a drive cone made of Paper + Hemp* and Kevlar laminated Hemp fiber Cone. Models CSAW7240, CS-AW7220, CS-AW7040 and CS-AW7020 have a drive cone made of Paper +Hemp * and Glass-Fiber laminated cone structure.
