JVC Mobile Entertainment Updates DRVN Lineup With New Amplifiers And Speaker Offerings For 2012
JVC Mobile Entertainment unveils the next phase of its acclaimed DRVN Series “pronounced /’drivən/” with the new “DRVN XX” series of step-up amplifiers and subwoofers.

This cohesive line of audio reproduction products celebrates its second year with more powerful, captivating high-quality sound across a wide range.
The KS-AX3102 (65watt x 2 RMS) 400W Peak amplifier has an MSRP of $139.95, the KS-AX3104 (60watt x 4 RMS) 800W Peak amplifier has an MSRP of $199.95, and the KS-AX3101D (250 x 1 RMS) 800W Peak Class D amplifier has an MSRP of $229.95.
Amplifiers
JVC’s lineup of DRVN XX amplifiers, designed for ease of use, now feature easier installation, upgrade and control with the brand’s patented dynamic audio delivery circuitry. All terminals are mounted a single side of the chassis with covers so mounting holes are covered with a clean look. Parallel drive MOS-FET Power Supplies increase efficiency allowing the new amplifiers to carry up to an extra 20% of current from single MOS-FET designs.
The KS-AX5101D (300 watt x 1 RMS) 1000W Peak Class-D Circuit amplifier will carry an MSRP of $219.95 and is available in February.
The KS-AX5102 (300 watt x 1 RMS) 600W Peak Class-AB Circuit amplifier will carry an MSRP of $ 169.95 and is available in February.
The KS-AX5104 (200 watt x 2 RMS) 1000W Peak Class AB amplifier will carry an MSRP of $219.95 and is available in February.
Speakers
JVC Mobile Entertainment’s DRVN speaker series includes four new models, showcasing Aramid Carbon Mica 3D Cone Woofers which have been enlarged with a molded ridge design for increased strength, less distortion, and precise amplitude. In addition, there’s a 3D grille-matching design tailored for both maximum in-car performance and a sleek aesthetic look. Woofer drivers also use a rubber surround, and enhanced middle range sound with quicker response, increased power handling, and extended low frequency response.
- JVC Mobile’s CS-ZX6940 is a 6″ x 9″ 4-way coaxial speaker set. The CS-ZX6940 will carry an MSRP of $139.95 and is available in January.
- JVC Mobile’s CS-ZX640 is a 6″ x 1/2″ 4-way coaxial speaker that will carry an MSRP of $109.95 and is available in January.
- JVC Mobile’s CS-ZX630 is a 6″ x 1/2″ 3-way coaxial speaker that will carry an MSRP of $99.95 and is available in January.
- JVC Mobile’s CS-ZX530 is a 5″ x 1/4″ 3-way coaxial speaker that will carry an MSRP of $89.95 and is available in January.
The DRVN XX series joins a continuing line of entry level DRVN speakers, subwoofers, and amplifiers. The DRVN speaker lineup includes ten models, as well as a component set that all feature carbon mica woofers for high SPL, hybrid cloth/rubber surround, and wide range PEI midrange/tweeter.

JVC Mobile’s DRVN subwoofers include two designs which have been engineered to work in enclosures as small as.75 cubic feet. The CS-GD1200 is a dual voice coil with butyl rubber surround. The dual voice coil features a 62.6 oz strontium magnet. It has 1400W peak/400W RMS power handling, and it carries an MSRP of $149.95. The CS-G1200 is a single voice coil with urethane surround for fast response. The single voice coil magnet is 39 oz strontium magnet. It has 1200W peak/250W RMS, and it carries an MSRP of $99.95.
JVC’s lineup of DRVN amplifiers, designed to have a small footprint, feature a MOS-FET power supply and output stage, enhanced low-frequency sound performance specifically tuned to CS-GD1200 woofers, increased dynamic power, and are all bridgeable.
